

Renita C. Allen, MSSA, LISW
CEO/President, Kinship Individualized Supportive Services,
Inc.
She has 28 years of progressive upper management experience.
She received her Masters in Social Science Administration from
Case Western Reserve University Mandel School of Applied
Social Sciences with a specialization in Juvenile Justice and
Corrections. She has completed two post graduate fellowships
one in Community Health Care Administration and Policy and the
other in Educational Policy. Ms. Allen currently is on the
faculty of Cleveland State University teaching in the School
for Social Work, Joint Master Degree Program with University
of Akron. She is a community organizer, advocate, clinician
and administrator.
During her career she has managed juvenile court funded
programs in Cuyahoga County and in Portage County for Health
and Behavioral Health Care Systems. She administered school
base mental health services in Cleveland Municipal School
District and replicated the same services for Bedford School
District and several Charter and community schools. In
addition, she served as the liaison to the CMSD School Base
Mental Health provider committee. Her experience in working
with School Districts to develop school base services is
extensive with serving as Family Health Centers, Inc. liaison
to the Orangeburg City School District, SC. to develop school
base primary health care services in the district. In Portage
County she developed relationships to add school base mental
health services to five school districts. While at Metro
Health Medical Center she served as the hospital’s liaison
with Lincoln West to develop the Teen Options Program. Her
experience in community organizing comes from serving as a
health care planning consultant with a grass roots
organization to develop a community health center in Escambia
Alabama. Her advocacy experience is with senior citizens and
vulnerable population groups to assure access to resources,
safety in the community and support to remain independently in
the community.
Ms. Allen’s career consists of implementing new and innovative
programs that open communication and collaboration between
systems, in order to meet the needs of special population
groups.
